| RCA's LYRA Micro Jukebox (model RD2760) is an
adorable MP3 player that hides a big, big secret. Although it is
rather small, inside that demure exterior is hidden an amazing
1.5GB of music. Considering that most players only hold about
128megabytes, 1.5GB is massive. Most players can hold an hour or
two of music, but the Micro Jukebox can hold 25 hours of music, or
almost 500 songs.
MP3, MP3PRO, and WMA formats are all supported. The entire
front of this player is the display--user interface is simple,
because it is so easy to see what you're doing. The eight lines
show all of the pertinent information, such as song title, length
of the selection, and the artist name. It comes with MusicMatch
software on CD-ROM, a power adapter, clip-style headphones,
carrying pouch, and a car kit.
It also comes with a lithium ion rechargeable battery--it will
play for up to 15 hours on a single charge. To let you play your
MP3 files over your home audio system, there is an audio line-out
cable. A USB 2.0-capable computer is necessary, with Windows 98SE,
ME, 2000 and XP supported, as well as Mac OS X.
